My wife and I have a daughter Renee. She lives with us 'cause working full time and going to school full time she couldn't afford renting a house for her and her three dogs. She's been a good kid except maybe when she turned 12 and suddenly her mother and I were stupid and didn't know anything! But she hasn't been to church with us in years. A while back she told me that it's not that she doesn't believe in a higher being, it's just that she's not sure that God is it. Well a couple of weeks ago, a close friend of hers, Chelsea, died of a heroin overdose. She knew the family real well, worked with the girl's father and was good friends with the brother. Renee was very upset by all of this. Last week she attended the funeral and went to the parents' home afterwards. In a conversation with the mother Betsy, she heard the mother verbalize that maybe she had done some things wrong and asked God for forgiveness. My daughter then began to witness to and comfort this woman, telling her that God loves her and doesn't condemn her for her daughter's death. I can only conclude that this is God working in my daugher's heart. Praise Jesus! This is so wonderful, I can't tell how happy this makes my wife and I. Thank you Jesus!
